The following new 2.004 binaries are now being made available for the first
time:
rc5v2b4-alpha-vms-ev4.zip
rc5v2b4-alpha-vms-ev5.zip
The following 2.004 binaries are being re-released with minor modifications
to them that did not warrant a new version number:
rc5v2b4-os2-cli.zip
rc5v2b4-sco5-x86.tar.gz
rc5v2b4-win32-x86-cli.zip
The above three clients should show more reliable auto-cpu detection than
their original releases, which may result in faster client speeds if the
previous version was unreliably bench marking your cpu. Additionally,
inaccurate block completion times/speeds caused by the micro timer rolling
over should be resolved. Other minor internal code restructuring including
modification of return codes was done.
The OS/2 and Win32 versions now include a small utility to count the number
of blocks stored in your buff-in or buff-out files.
If you were running the original 2.004 releases of these clients, it is
recommended that you download and install these new versions if it is
convenient.
