Has anyone messed with the Analog Devices SHARC DSP Platform? I would be interested if anyone else has worked with this, or any other DSP for that matter. The development board is quite easy to use, and beat out my PII 333 on a FFT and some floating operations. I understand that RC5 doesn't benefit from FPU's, but this thing has a built in shift register plus a 40 bit instruction pipeline. It also fetches data and instruction in one clock cycle (harvard architecture). I'm sure it would kick butt on the RC5 code if tweaked properly.
Good luck, and happy cracking.
