Actually the linux kernal is very stable considering it is unix but a more 
stable system and alot faster too is FreeBSD. It can handle more at 
once and is not as resource hungry as some of these other Operating 
Systems. That is my personal choice... i have it running on a 486 and it 
acts like a PII-450 running NT or linux... well... that is my two cents.
