As a professional I recommend "Arctic Silver 2" thermal paste.  It works 
wonders as a replacement for Original Equipment Manufacturer (or OEM) 
thermal paste.
"Arctic Silver 2" may solve your problem just by itself.  I recommend 
cleaning the old paste away with rubbing alcohol (or vodka).
If the heatsink has a thermal pad, scrape it off with a knife or razor 
blade.
