[RC5-PROXYPER] Strange happenings

I saw this on the console log of my V 278 proxy and after
corresponding with the person, found that they had set
some clients at work up for DES (I assume he won't be able
to do it on Monday for the start of the contest). With some
prompting from a fellow team member, I've posted this here
because, even though I know the cause, it still seems to be
a bug in the PProxy. The IP address has been anonymised, but
it is a true address from a regular contributor.

This is only a small portion of what happened over quite a
long period of time.

<snip>

[07/10/98 08:21:39 GMT] x.x.x.x: assigned 005f827e:d8c00000, iter 0
[07/10/98 08:21:40 GMT] x.x.x.x: assigned 007ab976:37700000, iter 0
[07/10/98 08:21:42 GMT] x.x.x.x: assigned 005e0b6e:32300000, iter 0
[07/10/98 08:21:43 GMT] x.x.x.x: assigned 007ab976:37700000, iter 0
[07/10/98 08:21:45 GMT] x.x.x.x: assigned 002f18e0:16500000, iter 0
</snip>

The contest flag in the PProxy (for DES) correctly indicates the
contest is closed and there were obviously no DES blocks available for
fetching. But it seems odd that blocks were attempted to be generated
even though the "iter" part indicates 0.

Is this a bug, normal behaviour or an Unexplained mystery? (<include
music from Twilight Zone>)

Cheers
Phillip
