[PROXYPER] How can I get more then 1000 blocks?

Hi,

the 308 proxies have a special "logic" that adjusts the buffer limit
according to the speed of the connecting clients. If you set the buffer to a
very high number (e.g. 15000) and have only two slow machines, the proxy will
calculate a lower block limit. If you set the limit to 1000 blocks and have
some machines with about 20 Mkeys/sec. connected, the proxy will raise the
buffer limit to get more blocks from the server.
If you know exactly what number of blocks you need, you cann add the line
expertmode=1
to the proxyper.ini file (section rc564). Then the proxy will stick to the
limit you specify.
The number of received blocks differs a little bit, so some "overshooting" is
possible - not exactly 1000 but sometimes 1013 or else.

Happy crunching,

Ralf
