You won't gain anything be going to Linux - last like 40? blocks are 
buffered only in memory and never flushed to disc.

I have already complained about this behaviour. It is by purpose, 
although you can doubt the sense of the purpose. It might be fixed 
in the new 306 build. You may want to downgrade to 280 model.

(The reply I got that the "proxy should be running on a well-
connected host with UPS". Sheesh!)
