[PROXYPER] just checking: proxy on Linux/PPC?

I gather it won't help for me to volunteer to try to
get the proxy working on Linux on a PPC, but if anyone
happens to be working on such a thing, I can definitely
offer to help testing it.

I've got a situation where one PPC has the only network
access for a collection of connected clients, and I've
discovered that 40+ clients tend to overwhelm NFS's
file locking when using the file sharing approach.
