I'm mixing the two versions also, but have no problems. I have HP-UX and AIX
(RS6000) running v2.002. These directories are NFS mounted to my Linux box
running v2.004. Because of the corporate firewall, only v2.004 can talk to
the servers. I have no problems with sending the completed blocks using a
small perl script on the Linux box (v2.004) that does:

&SendBlocks( "/home/jknowles/hp/rc2" );
&SendBlocks( "/home/jknowles/ibm/rc2" );
&SendBlocks( "/home/jknowles/rc2" );

sub SendBlocks
{
local( $dir ) = @_;

chdir $dir;
system( "~/rc5/rc5 -flush")
	while ( -s "buff-out.rc5" > 8 );
}

This keeps looping to handle network errors. I use cron to run this every six
hours. I know that this can be done using a shell script, but I'm much more
comfortable in perl.
