Hi,

I'm running the rc5-client on 10 PPro200 and dual-PPro machines
(*.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de) for quite a while now and yesterday

I've checked the http://bovine.st.hmc.edu/ page again and searched
for "tuebingen" to see how things are going and I found

Rank Host Blocks Time Working Last Seen Avg Kkeys/sec
	114 alamak.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de 4542 63.7 days 16.2 days ago 290.078
	254 sirrah.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de 3080 63.7 days 16.2 days ago 196.733
	330 alkyone.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de 2487 63.7 days 16.2 days ago 158.839
	338 maya.tat.physik.uni-tuebingen.de 2461 63.7 days 16.2 days ago 157.178

etc.

why do I get "Last Seen 16.2 days ago" ago ???? all our clients are
still running!

I'm writing all the output of the clients to log files and I just checked
these log files and realized that there have been messages like

rc5-56-client: Please restart your client as soon as it becomes convenient.

This server will go offline in 2 days. Point your client at rc5proxy.distributed.net before then!

If you're pointing at bovine.st.hmc.edu switch to rc5proxy.distributed.net

but even without restarting the clients I found the following at the
very end of the log files:

	rc5-56-client: Notifying Key Server ``master5.rh1.iit.edu''
rc5-56-client: Obtaining Key Mask from ``master5.rh1.iit.edu:2056''.
	rc5-56-client: Welcome to rc5proxy.distributed.net (opus)
	rc5-56-client: Received Keyspace Mask 0x0000000FFFFFFF
	rc5-56-client: Start Key 0x0E5C4F00000000, trying 268435456 keys.
rc5-56-client: Processed 192966.41 keys per second.
rc5-56-client: Keyspace Exhausted in 23.18 minutes.
	rc5-56-client: [0x0E5C4F00000000 -> 0x0E5C4F0FFFFFFF]

and then (only?) 53 instances of

	end_keyspace: Connection refused
	rc5-56-client: Notifying Key Server ``master5.rh1.iit.edu''
	rc5-56-client: Error notifying server.
	rc5-56-client: Sleeping 1 minute...

so I guess it still calculated reasonable data recently which I don't
see registered on your web page (otherwise every "Sleeping 1 minute..."
would have taken >7 hours ?!).

now that I know better I've restarted all clients using rc5proxy.distributed.net and I get

rc5-56-client: Obtaining Key Mask from ``confused.slacker.com:2056''.
rc5-56-client: The Bovine Proxy KeyServer (Build 1525)
	rc5-56-client: Received Keyspace Mask 0x0000000FFFFFFF
	rc5-56-client: Start Key 0x0E5F53B0000000, trying 268435456 keys.

where can I lookup the statistics for our "donation", will they
show up on http://bovine.st.hmc.edu/ again ?

thanks,

Harald
