[rc5] Buffer locking problem

Twice in two days, while running rc5v2 on a Linux 2.0.30 machine, the
client process has stopped computing keys and dumps this into the log, 1
entry per second:

Buffer is locked 3 - waiting 1 second.

An rc5v2 -flush yeilds:

Buffer is locked 4 - waiting 1 second.

Neither process dies on a "kill" or "kill -HUP" I have to roughly "kill
-9" them.

Anyone have any wisdom on stopping/recovering from this?
