[rc5] extrememly bad NetBSD performance with v1 client

Well, I found out what was causing my bad performance.

I had the BIOS set to power saving mode, and the BIOS was slowing down
the CPU when it thought it wasn't in use -- i.e, keyboard and mouse
activity was nil.

After turning this off, the machine is up to speed and running where I
expected it.
