I'm using Linux and installed the proxy just so I wouldn't have to put up
with that problem. I've usually got an in-buffer of over a thousand
blocks which gives me some flexibility as to how often I need to log on.
Curiously, the fetching and flushing function of the proxy FLIES compares
to the 1 per second rate of the clients. I can dump a few hundred blocks
in a couple of seconds.
