ECC Memory will also halt the system on two-bit errors, which are much
rarer than one-bit errors.

By comparison Parity Memory will halt the system on one-bit errors.

Non-Parity Memory will simply run happily away never noticing that it
had an error, well at least until enough data is corrupted that the
system grinds to a halt.
