Hi.

Over the weekend, I thought I'd test a few key blocks on my fathers
P75+Win95 system, so I put the Win32 GUI (why is it so huge?) and CLI clients
on a floppy disk and planned to run one of them from there. That worked, but
the disk kept spinning all the time, as if the client was accessing one or
more files all the time. Trying the same thing with the Amiga client didn't
cause the disk to keep spinning, but SnoopDOS reveals that the client looks
for a file called "exitrc5.now" every 4-5 seconds or so:

Process Name Action Target Name Options Res.
------------ ------ ----------- ------- ----
[18] Work:Trashcan/rc5/rc564 Lock BLANK:GUI/exitrc5.now Read Fail
[18] Work:Trashcan/rc5/rc564 Lock BLANK:GUI/exitrc5.now Read Fail
[18] Work:Trashcan/rc5/rc564 Lock BLANK:GUI/exitrc5.now Read Fail
[18] Work:Trashcan/rc5/rc564 Lock BLANK:GUI/exitrc5.now Read Fail

Is there any way of turning this undocumented "feature" off?

Btw, the Win32 client comes to a griding halt if M$ Works (?) is loaded. But
perhaps that is expected behaviour?

Regards,
