[RC5] Win32/Win16 gui problem

The status window in the new GUI client seems to have a (low) limit on the
number of characters that it'll hold. So after a while it'll stop
updating, even though the client marches on.

I dont know if this is related..

When I came into work this moring, the GUI status window showed the
last block processed was yesterday but when I look in the log its
still running fine.
