As I understand it, what I mentioned is *not* beside the point, and
the fact that the nt-alpha-client is native *is* beside the point.
Reread that first line - "scans through your hard drive" - if that's
right (I don't have an Alpha to verify it on), then it doesn't matter
whether the client is native or not because the emulator's
scanning/optimizing code could be running at a higher priority,
optimizing apps that are *not* currently open.
