Currently, it takes about 100 days for a tardy block to become
reassigned, assuming that the key isn't found between now and then.
No block is reassigned until all blocks have been assigned once.
This is in the FAQ at http://rc5.distributed.net/FAQ/rc5faq.html.

Lets say I grab 20 blocks. How many days can I keep them before the
server gives them to others?
In other words is therwe an upper limit of the time I must consume on
breaking a block?
something else. I have a Pentium 133MHz, 32Mb RAM with Slackware 3.2
I noticed that the client v2.004 was able to complete 177kkeys/sec
while the new client v2.005 had: 166kkeys/sec.
Why? I use 2.0.29
do you think my performance will improve with a newer kernel?
Thanks in advance
