I believe rubber hose decryption is finding an analog computer containing 
the desired informaiton (whether it be decryption keys, or the 
information itself) and using the brute force method on it.

This has been found to be the one decryption method that CAN work on 
literally any encoded message.

In other words, you beat the tar out of the guy with the secret, until he 
talks.
