Alternately, you could use "killall", which should send the signal to all
three of the rc5 processes:

        killall rc5des

I use this to suspend rc5des when I want to run something CPU intensive:

        killall -STOP rc5des  (suspends crunching)
        killall -CONT rc5des  (resumes crunching)
