[RC5] HP-UX client HTTP proxy trouble (part 2)

I set up a listener using netcat to see what was being sent. This is
using the client rc5des393-hpux10-hppa on a box with the following
'uname -a' output:

HP-UX rat B.10.20 A 9000/705 2007082067 two-user license

The HP sends this (I've censored the auth info):

---------------------------------------------------
POST http://205.149.163.211:2064/cgi-bin/rc5.cgi HTTP/1.0
Proxy-authorization: Basic Z2F3O<CENSORED>3aW45NQ==
Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-Type: application/octet-stream
Content-Length: 26kbegin 644 query.txt
MS!%MXA0P',)<3LM?I&UY_.R,*)DTJM<V?,F%T\3H-'`-!N,-5261JIU$0$?E
M8N[D+8&=@76 at 3!Z]OOJ[!=VI6$W\5_66&P:2WCFU+R988\QN=Q)IMI7!!OZT
M;Z-&TQY`CO',W=<0>WH?+RH79TW8M*]LAU'WBS7N/ZGDBX?(DRC/YT'%&`7P
A8F`DGO^H0TV9\&'\.3B`JM:`GUESR+X(#:W3OA#2)@N3
end
---------------------------------------------------

As you can see, there's no break between the Content-Length header
and the body. There's some sort of binary garbage before the 'begin'.
On the xterm where I ran netcat, it showed up as an e with an umlaut
(2 dots) over it. After cutting/pasting it and mailing it around and
reading it into vim, it looks like a normal ASCII 'k'.

For comparison, here's the result of the latest Linux (MP) client
reporting to the same listener:

---------------------------------------------------
POST http://205.149.163.211:2064/cgi-bin/rc5.cgi HTTP/1.0
Proxy-authorization: Basic Z2F3O<CENSORED>3aW45NQ==
Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-Type: application/octet-stream
Content-Length: 262

begin 644 query.txt
M%67$!%V$<F2EHR$![<'/GC7@?CM]_RS8QAW;=0X\BA)66SBOGGGG3.:8E>DN
MMT2&=M7S([[TH<`'$U!=3S'^^I=0K9??;UPT)XX*T6^LN6ZWRV at +_^H6J$@(
MQ460)W/BV$8B?R!DT1QH at W^YL*(N5OC`W/-`WXN0B/XZ+=$<Z,H9.Y=G85I&
A!*EX]*'QEZ,_.;8]`X'5`'3)\Z\6$A)=LV3X=ZZ(T;7Q
end
---------------------------------------------------

This one works. Note the correct Content-Length header and the empty
line after the HTTP header section.
