What would happen if that client automagically updated, and it had a
networking flaw that prevented it from accessing the Internet/accessing
future updates? Now you'd have an out of date client with a flaw that had to
be manually fixed. Now think about that for 300 computers, and you'll stick
to the old-fashioned sneaker-net! ;)
