[RC5] Effect of CSC on RC5?

I think the idea was that CSC will help encourage people's interest.  Most people's complaint about RC5 was based on the fact that there was nothing else, just RC5, RC5, RC5, every day.  The introduction of a NEW contest (CSC) is meant to renew interest in d.net as a whole.
