I'm using a product [freeware] called ATM to tweak my dnetc process
on Win9x. One handy feature is the dynamic process handling which
allows idle->high* priority ranges. It allows dnetc to slump down
to idle or kick-in at high priority depending on sys load.

A very handy utility found at www.tweakfiles.com
