There is a config option (1, then 9) to turn this off/on.

Subject: [RC5] main power?

i run dnetc on my laptop sometimes and i have the laptop configured to
remain on when the cover is closed. i used to be able to close the laptop,
unplug, and take it home and all the while it would cut keys. now it pauses
when i unplug the power. why?

dnetc v2.8010-463-CTR-00071320 for Linux (Linux 2.2.14).

wouldnt it be better to keep cutting keys on battery?
