Especially seeing as spammers could easily get the email address's of many
dnet participants just by looking in the stats DB.

That's truely right.
But since we're also doing distributed computing
and even have it in the name of the organzation,
news like this one is bad for the whole idea of
distributed computing.

I hope such things won't happen too often !
