There are also a couple of submitted cores that promise to be a couple
of percent faster, which we hope to verify and integrate into an
upcoming client build.  It would be beneficial for others to
inspect/verify them for other possible ways of improvement.

I am currently working on a new Athlon RC5 core which should
theoretically take around 250 clocks per key.

As to whether it will be finished and released before we find the key is
debatable.

It has been at the dreaded "90% complete" stage for about a month.
