Your math are bogus. The PowerPC 440 has no AltiVec support and
cannot be compared with G4 systems. At best, you could scale G3
node rate : 32768 x 1,700,000 = 55,705,600,000 keys/s

This number is the (average) number of  keys processed per day.
The current key rate is near 200 GKeys/s = 200,000,000,000 keys/s.
So BlueGene/L would be about 1/4 of our capacity.

Now we could also talk about Virginia Tech cluster (1100 XServe
dual G5 2.3 GHz). The keyrate of that beast would be :
17,250,000 x 2 x 1100 = 37,950,000,000 keys/s
obtained with a sub-optimal RC5 core.
